Moving right along, as I need to kill the flavor of that Harpoon UFO, I cracked open a Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat from the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company in Chippewa Falls and Milwaukee, WI. Wow, that is a hard name, but apparently they've been making this beer For Five Generations since 1867. Well at least they've been brewing since then, not sure about this Wheat.
Apparently they have what's called the Leinie Lodge too for regulars, kind've a club if I've read their site correctly. I guess next time I'm in town I'll look them up.
As for the beer, this one kicks the Harpoon's ass, and I can see why they call themselves (I'm sure others have said it too) the Pride of Chippewa Falls, WI. Very nice flavors, smooth taste and finish, and I can taste a bit of citrus in there. Those flavors are just not overwhelming.
One other comment. Apparently there's 4.9% alc/vol in this beer and to me it seems double that. You can really taste the alcohol in this, and usually that's a big negative, but for this one it's just right with the flavors. The only negative was that when I went to bed last night, my wife told me I smelled like beer, even after brushing my teeth and rinsing with mouthwash. I blamed the mouthwash, of course.
