He'Brew Messiah Bold

Although it's not the US Navy (I looked forever; I guess they probably have some conduct rules), rather these guys are US Marines, this is what I think they should be saying to all of those Somali pirates. A big, gigantic "Fuck You!" And the US ship crew that they didn't capture should've lined the streets of New York and given a big Arggg! with middle finger hooks to this one in particular when he arrived.

Tonight I'm trying He'Brew Messiah Bold, a brown ale brewed by Schmaltz Brewing Company in Saratoga, New York. The label is pretty entertaining with a lot of Old Testament verses mixed in with their take on how beer fits in with the scriptures. I guess you have a lot of time on your hands when you're still waiting. These guys also make the Coney Island line, so they must be a pretty entertaining bunch to hang out with.

He'Brew Messiah Bold, aka The Chosen Beer (by Schmaltz), has a good malty aroma, very strong. This is a very smooth and creamy beer with sweet caramel and toffee flavors with a hint of chocolate. You also get a good dose of roasted nuts with a hint of hops. Although those flavors are mostly good, they are not awesome and are a little weak, and they don't last long enough for me to tie my shoe. I'd have another but this is just a decent beer.

Hey there. This is Zak Davis from Shmaltz Brewing Company. Thanks so much for checking out Messiah Bold. Glad you enjoyed it. Messiah Bold and Genesis Ale are our session beers. Make sure to pick up a bottle of some of our 22oz offerings. In just a few weeks, we'll be releasing Rejewvenator, a half doppelbock, half Belgian-inspired dubbel, brewed with dates. Should be delicious. L'Chaim!!

Hey Zak. Thanks for stopping by. I am sure that Genesis Ale is on the shelf of my local Total Wine, and I will go to the big bottle area and look for others. Actually, I have the guide here on my desk. L'Chaim to you too!
