Terrapin India Style Brown Ale

Phillies are losing. Shit!

I paid my flood insurance premium today, which pretty much bites. I can understand why my premium went up by 6.3% from last year for the same coverage. Everything increases, duh. However, why did my premium go up when my deductible was forcibly doubled by the new minimums of the program? I guess that's about what you can expect from a Federal Government program. And God help us if they get control of our health care program! These dudes are so inefficient and waste so much money.

So after the insurance guy said they are basically just facilitating this government program and that he couldn't explain the rates or deductible, I gave in and paid it. Then, as I was saying goodbye, he tried to sell me life insurance. To which I replied, "Dude, I have my policy with you already. Thanks." That is something he probably should have known, don't you think? That's all.

I just started drinking Terrapin India Style Brown Ale brewed by Terrapin Beer Company in Athens, Georgia. The aroma is hoppy with some fruity apple, yet there is also a caramel sweetness. Flavors start out with a sharp lemon and pine, along with caramel and malt. Two big dominant flavors. You will also taste grass, grapefruit and some spice, and in the end, bitter wins over sweet. While this beer should be balanced nicely, the bitterness and the sweetness both stand out and distract from one another rather than complement each other. You end with a bit of a metallic aftertaste. This was just an OK beer.
