Honey with caramel aroma topped by lots of maple syrup over a boozy back-drop--lovely! Delicious, rich caramel flavors start things off, with sweet honey and maple syrup flavors very noticeable. Those sweeter flavors are balanced and cut quite a bit by a strong 10% alcohol and large spice profile. First the alcohol thins out the original sticky consistency and warms me up on this air-conditioned 90-degree day. Then a powerful spicy cinnamon and background clove ease you into phase two.
An interesting earthy flavor profile, which I'll attribute to the sweet potatoes, followed by dark cherry and other subtle fruits round out the main flavors. Very smooth, rich body, nice carbonation. I love that they basically dissed pumpkin beers on the label. This was true liquid Thanksgiving, and if I end up in Bogota again this Thanksgiving, I'm gonna bring this with me! Get a bottle if you can!
Now I was gonna tell you about the awesome Autumn foliage view that I used to have for the six years I lived in the tallest building atop Mt. N. Broadway in Yonkers, NY. Across the Hudson was the most magnificent view of the Palisades anywhere! But with good comes bad... I also had a bird's eye view of months of smoke pouring from the World Trade Center disaster from the 9-11 Terrorist Attacks. I have yet to tell that story and show my pictures and video footage and experience. And the anniversary is coming again soon this year!

Did you get this at Total Wine or from PA? I didn't think this was out yet. I absolutely love it.
This was at Total Wine last night. Darren told me that it was delivered on Wednesday in Pembroke Pines along with $19 Coton and one other I can't remember from The Bruery.
Yeah, so great, the flavors are awesome.
Ok, that beer actually sounds good! I want some!
Hey Deray. You stepped into a giant. It's awesome, but you're gonna need a chaperone. Where are you now-state? Beer laws are really suck-ass so it's not like ordering furniture--every piece you want isn't always available.
But I do hope you can try this, bring a few friends!
Wow...I didn't know that you lived in NY, let alone around the time of 9/11.
Do you plan on sharing your footage and story?

Eventually I will spill everything. Not sure if it's this year or not.
Here's where I bowed out last year. http://www.dailybeerreview.com/2009/09/shelter-pale-ale.html
Yeah, I was in Times Square when that all went down, had a very long day and week and month and year. Lots of tears. I moved the next year to FL.
BTW, you know how to covert those old tape camcorders to a DVD?
Thanks for the reminder. I am getting married in the middle of October, and this is one of the beers that I want to have on hand at the rehearsal dinner.
Congratulations! And for sure your guests are the winners in that deal.
I will add this on my "To Buy" list...you had me at "maple."
Ooh, bunny. I liked this one.
You know what? I have a friend visiting Atlanta right now, bringing back some goodies, so was thinking of you.
Yes, you told me...cannot wait to hear what he brings you... ;)
