The month started with two guest reviews, first by Ed Robert of Total Wine fame followed the next day by Josh over at LostintheBeerAisle.com. Later in the month, a handful of us were invited to the Boynton Beach Total Wine for a private tasting of the Pike Brewing beer lineup. Was a good time though most of us thought the beers were very average. I did manage to score that night, though. Vanessa brought me a six pack of home brews, and since one was a repeat, I reviewed all five of them this month. You can find them from the archive link below.
Also, remember that Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster Garrett Oliver will be in town on August 24th. See you there!
Wow! Looking at the winners this month, it was clearly a double IPA kind of month!
July 2010 Top Five
1. He'Brew Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A.
2. Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA
3. Double Dog Double Pale Ale
4. XXXX IPA
5. Stone 14th Anniversary Emperial IPA
Honorable Mention: Ommegang Hennepin
Here are my prior 2010 Top Five lists from January, February, March, April, May and June. The full archive for July's reviews can be found here. You guys like IPA's? You will after this month. What did I screw up this time? Tell me! Thanks for being loyal readers and passing along the word to your friends!

I find it funny that every one of the top five are double IPAs.
Yeah, Mike. Me too! As I said, "Wow! Looking at the winners this month, it was clearly a double IPA kind of month!"
