Hazelnut aroma with hints of chocolate and caramel, lightly sweet. Very pleasant and I could sniff this all day! Creamy soft flavors to start. Nutty blended with lightly sweet chocolate blended with a touch of coffee bitterness. The bitter is just enough to offset the initial sweetness, not that asshole heartburn bitter so commonly found in brown ales. Subtle burnt malt flavors take over in the middle, and you will finish with some dry toasty flavors. Not overly complex and pretty much all of the flavors are muted; however, they are very nice flavors. Slightly flat and a little thin--I liked it despite those aspects. A really nice brown ale!

Even the posts where you don't do back flips with your opinion make the brew sound great. You da man!

Yeah, Mike. I try to be honest is all. This wasn't so spectacular but it's partially my fault as this isn't one of my favorite styles. But some people love it.
Also, every beer is someone's baby. Laurie at 100beers30days.com recently said something like that to me when I asked her if she ever had a bad beer. Got me thinking a little. Not enough to stop bashing shitty beers, but she is a sweetheart.
Thanks for stopping over Mike.
