Blanche de Chambly

Today I'm drinking Blanche de Chambly brewed by Unibroue in Chambly, Quebec, Canada. This beer is brewed in honor of Captain Jacques de Chambly who built Fort Chambly and made peace with the Iroquois in 1667. Fort Chambly is depicted on the front label. Best Before 11-23-11.

Fruity peach and wheat aroma, with a side of spice. Excellent fruity peach flavors start things off, accented by nice wheat flavors and texture. The flavors go from slightly sweet to completely tart in a split second. Very refreshing and really brought to the tip of your palate by a high level of carbonation. The carbonation is prickly and sharp as it nips at your palate. Nice yeast flavors and just the right amount of spice make for a wonderfully crafted beer. You finish with a pleasant aftertaste. Great job, favorite Canadian brewery!
