Poleeko Gold Pale Ale

Today I'm drinking Poleeko Gold Pale Ale brewed by Anderson Valley Brewing Company in Boonville, California. The label is identical to the one from their Boont ESB I just tried yesterday, except for the trim color and the name, of course. The story on the back is different too, letting you know this beer is named for the town of Philo near the brewery. Poleeko = Philo? Yep, apparently in this strange language these people have going on out there. Check out the story for some more of it and let me know what you think.

Lemony citrus aroma, sweet like a lemon drop, with a touch of bread dough. Nice citrus flavors open things up. Clearly there is some lemon and orange, but it's not overly bitter. Rather, a malty sourdough bread and touch of caramel bring this beer some great balance. Excellent carbonation, prickly and effervescent in the mouth. Light but not too thin. A refreshing beer all around. Very nice. Will certainly drink it again.
