Not a very powerful aroma, but mostly malty and spice with a hint of oak. Bread and caramel flavors start things off, a little sweet in the beginning. There is also a definite oak flavor throughout, kind of buttery. The initial sweetness is tamed a bit by some spicy black pepper nips and pine, both highlighted by the 7.1% alcohol. More spice and a hint of orange come along before a nice smooth finish. Pretty nice beer all around. Check it out.
