Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale

Today I'm drinking Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale brewed by The Boston Beer Company in Boston, Cincinnati or Breinigsville, Pennsylvania. Ed Roberts gave me this one from his mixed 12 pack. I don't think he liked it. Enjoy before January, 2012.

Spicy aroma, with nutmeg standing out and the rest more generic. Faint pumpkin smell too. Not a bad little beer. Noticeable pumpkin in the beginning, perfect sweetness. Also, the cinnamon and nutmeg spice profile is nice and subtle, not overdone at all. Very nice balance. Carbonation is prickly. That's about it. Perhaps just a touch too sweet, but this was a simple and flavorful beer that held back on the spices where 98% of its buddies did not. I'd drink it again. Easily.
