Wasatch Pumpkin Seasonal Ale

How's that for a nice photo!
Today I'm drinking Wasatch Pumpkin Seasonal Ale brewed by Utah Brewers Cooperative in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the last of the bottles sent to me by the brewery. Thanks a lot again! The label depicts a dark orange pumpkin with some stalks of barley on a dark green background.

Pumpkin aroma with plenty of nutmeg and other pie spices. Welcoming. Pumpkin flavors start, very earthy and natural. Spices follow--nutmeg and cinnamon, not overdone at all. The initial sweetness was then balanced by a light hoppy touch. Carbonation is prickly, body a little thin. The finish is dry leading to a pleasant aftertaste. Very drinkable. I appreciated the subtle spice and pumpkin interaction that most pumpkin beer brewers are not able to achieve. Very nice for a style that I wouldn't mind seeing lapse to extinction. Check it out!
