2011 Best Beer Nominees

If you're not new, you've seen my Monthly Top Five Beer Lists. Last year, I had a Best of 2010 Poll and posted the 2010 winners from that poll in addition to naming my own 2010 Top Five.

I made a few changes/upgrades for this year's Best of 2011 Poll. I included pictures of each. I included the honorable mentions, upping the nominee number from 60 to 85 (ish, I keep losing count, LOL). There are 45 breweries represented, in alphabetical order, so be sure to check all the way to the bottom.

You are surely going to miss a lot of stars from this list, as I do try not to repeat so often. But I believe that I've done a pretty good job of offering a pretty big list of stars. If your favorite didn't make the list, write it in and tell your friends what an idiot I am so they can vote too.

Quick rules: Vote once by leaving a comment. Pick up to 5 beers from the list or from your imagination. Hit me with your sarcasm on how there's this awesome beer from San Diego that I must have forgotten about, and how I'm totally stupid for leaving it off the list. I LOVE that. Oh, and feel free to send me a bottle and perhaps it will make the 2012 contest next year. Poll closes midnight Eastern on January 31, approximately a week from now. Results will follow shortly after. Thanks for reading. If you don't want to miss any action this year, subscribe to a once-daily email.

Victory Moonglow didn't make the list? :(

So many good beers on the list, makes it difficult to choose only one. I'll be a homer and pick cigar City Cubano Espresso. I had it on tap at Cigar City tap room and it was incredibly delicious.

Agree that so many to choose from on this list. I'd side with Sierra Nevada Estate, Ten Fidy, or Night Stalker.

Troegs Nugget Nectar! From this list though, I really enjoyed Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale.

With a list like that I don't think I could even narrow it down to 5.
