Private WeissBier-Brauerei Georg Schneider & Sohn in Kelheim, Bavaria, Germany. Ugh, my spell-check HATES me! Nice label, shiny purple catches your eye, with some bearded dude in the center of it. I will say, however, that the presentation is due for an upgrade. The back tells a short story and sets your expectations, finishing by naming this "the massive twin of Schneider Weisse".
Big Head. I tried to control it, too, but what you see is what you get! Banana, pears, bubble gum drenched in alcohol, and a little spicy aroma. So far, so good. Fruity flavor beginning, though surprisingly not very much banana to speak of. Instead, there are more sweet oranges and juicy cherries and thick pears.
The 8.2% alcohol is also pretty noticeable but in a way to accent the fruits and do some palate cleansing. The alcohol also provided a decent warmth in the chest throughout the entire bottle. There is a touch of that bubble gum and some spicy and black peppery flavor toward the end. The spice and alcohol do a decent job of cutting in the initial sweetness of the beer.
