Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock

Today I'm drinking Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock brewed by Privatbrauerei Franz Inselkammer in Aying, Germany. The label of this 330mL bottle depicts two rams celebrating with a huge glass of this beer. The brewery calls this the "Finest Bavarian Double Bock Beer".

Rich caramel and cocoa aroma, sweet, with some prunes in the background. The flavors follow the aroma perfectly. Rich caramel and cocoa, perhaps some brown sugar. Sweet in the beginning. Prunes add some fruity flavors as well. In addition, there are toasted grain and smoky flavors that add interesting nuances. Also, the sweetness is toned by both a bit of hops and some power from the 6.7% alcohol. That alcohol makes sure to add a little heat too. Nice carbonation, good body, very smooth. Enjoyable and I'd certainly recommend checking it out if you never have.
