Big Hop IPA

A few days ago I found myself drinking Big Hop IPA brewed by East End Brewing Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I was eating lunch with my family at SoHo in Pittsburgh, across from PNC Park, and picked it from their draft list.

Hoppy aroma, a little doughy too. Nice zesty lemon and citrus bitterness up front. Grassy with a bit of pine. As bitter as the beginning was, a decent bread backbone, again doughy, added some balance. The finish was lightly astringent, medicinal and very dry. Fresh and simple. Refreshing and enjoyable.

I'd check it out if available where you live or travel. I had a second glass myself and look forward to another one day.
