Red Brick Hoplanta India Pale Ale

Today I'm drinking Red Brick Hoplanta India Pale Ale brewed by Atlanta Brewing Company in Atlanta, Georgia. The label says this is "hoppier than a bullfrog with a stubbed toe". So does that mean it's hoppy or not? I imagine a stubbed toe as being an impediment to hopping. Hmmm. There is a red bullfrog thumbnail pictured on the label, the most creative part of it. Very boring all around.

Sweet light fruit, orange citrus and doughy aroma, not very strong. A sweet malty start gets things going. Herbal and earthy with some bread dough flavors standing out. After a second, some pine and lemony citrus add a good dose of bitter balance. A little hoppy spicy. Toward the end, a lightly medicinal and alcoholic aspect dampens an otherwise pretty good beer. Creamy carbonation, nice mouthfeel. Very dry finish. Not bad.
