Heavy Seas Sea Nymph

Today I'm drinking Heavy Seas Sea Nymph brewed by Clipper City Brewing Company in Baltimore, Maryland. This is their summer ale. At first glance, the label is just blue and yellow. However, upon closer inspection, you can see the sea nymph as she is perched on a rock, looking out over the sea at a ship. Purchase before SEP 12.

Very grainy aroma with some light toast. Grainy, malty sweetness and toasted bread are also what you taste first. That initial sweetness is then immediately countered by a bitter bite. Hoppy, grassy, floral hops. Prickly and refreshing, leaning bitter yet very nicely balanced. The carbonation is a little rough, especially to swallow. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise, simple and enjoyable. Check it out.
