Grainy aroma with some faint berry. Not a very strong aroma at all. Tart berries are the main flavor in the beginning, and they are very soft. Smooth and creamy texture, though a little watery overall. Some light hoppy bitterness adds to the overall refreshment. Carbonation is good, crisp. The 5.0% alcohol isn't noticeable. Very simple. Not bland but I could have used a little more depth of flavor. I'd probably agree with the story about taking it to the lake, BBQ or just relaxing the day away.

Huckleberry Cream Ale
This afternoon I'm drinking Huckleberry Cream Ale brewed by Laughing Dog Brewing in Ponderay, Idaho. There is a very nice outdoor scene on the label depicting a dog in a field in front of some woods and mountains. The rich purple background makes you think even more about the huckleberries you are about to sample. There is a story to the side that lets you know what to expect, and that this beer was created to celebrate the huckleberry picking season. Bottled 3/20/2012.
