Rosetta

Today I'm trying Rosetta, an ale aged on cherries. Rosetta is brewed exclusively for Brewery Ommegang by their sister brewery Liefmans in Belgium. The label says this is a traditional Belgian Kriek, pleasantly tart with a touch of bitterness. 11.2 oz. 5.6% alcohol. Best Before 07/2020

Dark brown/maroon color. Fruity cherry aroma, both sweet and tart along with a cola component. The cherry flavors burst from the start, big pop, very prominent. While the flavors are tart, they are also nicely sweet and perfectly acidic all at the same time. Lightly spicy, a candy-like fruity aspect, and super juicy. Excellent creamy carbonation. Very enjoyable!
