Cafe Cubano Panic Attack

Today I decided to check out Holy Mackerel Cafe Cubano Panic Attack, a spin on their original Belgian-style beer brewed with coffee from Ft. Lauderdale's Calusa Coffee Roasters. In addition to this new beer contract brewed at Thomas Creek in South Carolina, you may have also heard that Brewer Bobby Gordash is back at the helm of the brewery he started and is planning a new Pompano Beach production brewery: The Holy Mackerel Project. 10% alcohol.

Aroma is full of coffee and has a sugary sweet smell. Sweet cotton candy and fruity orange flavors come first. Chewy, lightly syrupy texture. A kick of nice coffee comes next, flavorful but not overpowering.

You will get a hit of the alcohol though it is dangerously disguised. On the sweet side but not out of bounds. Lingering fruity sweetness is very nice. Tasty and I liked it! Can't wait to see what Bobby creates next!
