Today I'm checking out Avery's El Gose, a German-style sour ale brewed with lime and sea salt. The can shows a highly decorated skull with some tequila type reminders around it. "A bier for every dia!" 4.5% alcohol.
Nice bright yellow color. Had to work for any aroma, settling on a little salt and lime. The flavors, however, wake up the taste buds. Lemony and salty to start, lightly tart. Not sour at all. Lime, citrus, some tang and some salt, especially at the finish and lingering long afterward. Nice, refreshing.
