Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop IPA 2016

With the amount of Sierra Nevada beer I drink, I should either be an investor or have some rewards program named after me! Seriously!

Today I''m checking out 2016 Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop IPA. Yeah, the hops are harvested and in the kettle within a day! There's a little story on the label that also sets your expectations. 6.7% alcohol. 67 IBU. PKGD 09/28/16 which was approximately 3 months before it hit the local mega retailer's shelf. For a beer that is aiming for maximum hoppy character, that seems a bit um...

Citrus aroma with some rind quality, a little fruity. Pine and grapefruit flavors come first, nicely bitter. Citrus rind adds to that bitterness but is followed by some malty caramel sweetness.

Green though not really that green or bitter, just some character. Bright and sharp. Dry finish with long lingering flavors. Nice beer!
