Surly Hell Lager

"Welcome to Hell," as the theme and story on the can go. Hell is apparently a German word for "light" and I'm told to expect a "fiendishly drinkable" beer! Surly Hell Lager is part of Total Wine's current Brewery Direct shipment in Florida. This guy comes in a pounder can which was canned on 02/16/17.

Grainy, doughy bread aroma. Nice sweet honey and bread flavors come first. Sourdough, hoppy, tangy flavors come next, an interesting balance.

Hello aggressive, sharp, nippy, spicy, bitter finish. That was kind of intense and more that I was expecting, especially from a lager. I could probably get used to all that brisk ending! Not your easy going lager though could refresh the whole beach!
