Chopsecutioner Wood Aged IPA

I'm a fan of Terrapin's Hopsecution IPA, so when I saw a version aged on Mizuno baseball bat oak chips, I decided to check it out. Chopsecutioner Wood Aged IPA, "It's not Hopsecutioner, but it's in the Ballpark!" Fun can art on this pounder can. 5.0% alcohol. 60 IBU

Very juicy, bright orange aroma, tangy with a distinct woody component. Similar flavors. Juicy orange and citrus, tangy. Nicely bitter with a pronounced woody finish in every sip. That woody aspect seemed very dominant in the start, but you will get used to it.

Interesting but I'll take the base IPA no wood over this any day.
