Florida Avenue India Pale Ale

What a terrible photo, but you get the idea.
Tonight I'm drinking Florida Avenue India Pale Ale brewed by Cold Storage Craft Brewery in Tampa, Florida. The label depicts a pirate schooner. Best by May, no year. "Treasure the Flavor"

Fruity with light hops, pretty muted aroma. Tangy citrus flavors to start, plenty of lemon rind and bitterness. Some herbal tea and malty balance come next. Overall, bitter wins but this is pretty tame. Prickly carbonation is nice and contributes to a making this refreshing. The alcohol is present enough to dry out the finish. Very simple, decent. Plain but not bland. If you're in Tampa, give these guys a whirl.

I bought a six pack last week. I had one yesterday and your review is spot on. Not a bad brew, but unremarkable. I want to support Florida brewers, but I'm not sure I'd buy this one again. Now Cigar City on the other hand.....

Yeah, Dale. Tampa's a rough neighborhood to try to set up a brewery.
